In collaboration with Rahama Dridi, an enthusiastic urban planner, 3.09 conducted a 3-day workshop programme for 12 aspiring architecture students at Harris Purley Academy. The programme entitled 'Playbable Cities' employed students the opportunity to deepen their understanding about city-making. The aims of the workshop were to develop the students design skills through creative processes such as virtual reality, sketching and model-making as well as help build a digital portfolio to gain work experience within the industry.
Post the workshop we gave the students a studio tour at Foster + Partners, an award-winning British architectural design and engineering firm who put forward an innovative, modern and sustainable approach. The students had the chance to speak to experts within the industry of film + animation as well as see a wide scale of projects completed by the practice.
